Up to 30 Days Stay:
Nationals from Belize*, Malaysia, Nauru, Saint Kitts and Nevis*, Saint Lucia*, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Singapore.
Nationals of Nicaragua (except diplomatic or official/service passport holders) may stay up to 90 days.
Nationals of Honduras* (except diplomatic or official/service passport holders) may stay up to 90 days.
Nationals of the Dominican Republic (except diplomatic or official/service passport holders) may stay up to 30 days.
Nationals of Thailand* (except diplomatic or official/service passport holders) are eligible for up to 14 days stay (valid until July 31, 2025).
Nationals of Brunei* (except diplomatic or official/service passport holders), including holders of a Brunei Certificate of Identity, are eligible for up to 14 days stay (valid until July 31, 2025).
Nationals of the Philippines* (except diplomatic or official/service passport holders) are eligible for up to 14 days stay (valid until July 31, 2025).
Requirements for Visa-Exempt Entry to R.O.C. Taiwan
Passport Validity:
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
Visa exemption applies only to holders of formal passports—ordinary, official/service, or diplomatic. Emergency, temporary, or informal passports are generally not eligible, except for holders of a Brunei Certificate of Identity.
Passport holders from Belize, Eswatini, Nauru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Tuvalu born in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, China (PRC), Syria, or Yemen are not eligible. Honduran passport holders born in China (PRC) are also ineligible.
Nationals of the Republic of the Marshall Islands include those who acquired citizenship before or after the Constitution’s effective date, per specific legal definitions.
U.S. nationals holding any valid passport, including emergency passports, for the intended stay are eligible.
Japanese nationals with a valid passport for the intended stay are eligible.
Holders of emergency or temporary passports (except U.S. citizens) must apply for a visa in advance or seek a landing visa upon arrival.
Travel Tickets:
You must have a confirmed return or onward air/sea ticket and a confirmed seat reservation for your departure flight.
Entry Eligibility:
You must not be deemed ineligible by immigration officers upon arrival.
Additional Requirements for Brunei, Philippines, and Thailand Nationals:
Proof of hotel accommodation, host or sponsor contact details, and sufficient travel funds are required.
